The Victoria Bridge built in 1860 is in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was an engineering marvel of its time, connecting the island of Montreal to the south shore.
Engraved by Abraham Hoffnung, a Montreal jeweller. Queen Victoria was invited to open the Victoria Bridge built by the Grand Trunk Railroad advertised as the 8th Wonder of the World. Her Majesty instead sent her 18 year old son Albert Edward, Prince of Wales. "The Victoria Bridge , Montreal, the greatest work of engineering skill in the World, Publicly Inaugurated and opened in 1860".
