Clem Bruser opened a general store in 1909 and tokens were issued in 1910 to be used as coin for barter through the store for butter, eggs, firewood, raw furs, home made cheese, garden vegetables for sale in the store, chickens and turkeys for export, fence posts, etc.
In 1923 Mr. Bruser took his sons into the business, forming a new company, Bruser's Limited. These tokens were issued in 1923.
